More info:
The DeKalb County School District is conducting an important assessment to inform facility planning for high schools and middle schools over coming years, including the potential for building new schools, adding to current buildings, adjusting middle & high school attendance zones, as well as other potential changes.
Final recommendations will be presented at public meetings on Aug 23 & 25 as part of a stakeholder engagement process.
This planning process affects schools throughout the county.
Some of the current considerations affect Chamblee Middle School & Chamblee High School specifically.
After the final stage of stakeholder engagement, final recommendations will be submitted to the DeKalb County School Board by DCSS.

The date for the final public input meeting for the Secondary School Facility Planning and Feasibility Study is being moved (Tuesday August 23 & Thursday August 25) in order to allow for greater public participation. This meeting will discuss the preliminary recommendations of the Secondary School Facility Planning and Feasibility Study before the study is completed. For more information, please visit the website at http://www.dekalb.k12.ga.us/www/secondaryschoolfacilitystudy.

This study impacts Chamblee Middle and Chamblee Charter High School, so please make plans to attend either of the public meetings to provide input as a stakeholder. This important process affects the future of our schools.

Middle School Volleyball Tryouts

Due to CCHS needing to prepare the gym for registration day, we have had to cancel middle school volleyball tryouts on August 3rd. Tryouts will now be on August 1st, 2nd, and 4th from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm in the CCHS gym. We are sorry for the inconvenience but hope that all interested players are able to attend at least two days of tryouts.

The CCHS volleyball coaches will be holding a Middle School Clinic on July 25th, 26th, and 27th from 9 am until 12 pm in the CCHS gym. Cost of this clinic is $125. Registration is open on the Chamblee volleyball website (http://chambleevolleyball.weebly.com).

Teacher Welcome Back to School Breakfast

Please help us welcome our wonderful teachers back to school!

On Monday, August 1st at 8:00 am we want to show appreciation for our teachers by hosting a breakfast for them on their first day back to school.  Please sign up to make or purchase a food item, beverage, or paper products and/or volunteer the morning of the breakfast.  Items should be delivered to the school between 7:15-7:30 am on Monday, August 1st. Nonperishable items may be left on the front steps Sunday afternoon or evening at the home of Tatiana Ritchey (3886 Brenton Way). Please use only disposable serving dishes and utensils. Food items should be warm, pre-cooked and pre-sliced for easy serving and clean up!

Thanks so much for your help!!!
