Please sign-up for the Kindergarten Assessment for any student who will be entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2017. Please sign up for the time that is most convenient for you, and type your child’s name in the comments. Each assessment takes approximately 15-20 minutes. There is no preparation necessary.
We are collecting box tops this week! May 1st – May 5th. The class in each grade with the most box tops will get a Popsicle party!
The last day to turn in Box Tops this school year is May 5th. Help your class win a Popsicle party. Please tape or glue your box tops to the back of the sheet that was provided in last week’s courier, OR place your box tops in a Ziploc bag and write the number of box tops and your teacher’s name on your bag. Please trim the box tops and make sure they are not expired. Remember: Each box top is worth $.10 for our school! Have your grandparents, neighbors, and friends collect them for you. This is the final week that you can purchase yearbooks. Children love to look back on the memories of their school year, and as they get older look back on their old yearbooks and laugh about how young everyone looked! Don’t miss out on this opportunity! Yearbooks are only $30, and they are available for purchase until February 24, 2017 – which is THIS FRIDAY!
Reminder, yearbooks were not available for purchase during the 2016 registration process like it was in 2015. This has caused some confusion so we want to make sure you don’t assume you purchased one. Garden Club is gearing up for Spring 2017. Our club meets on Tuesdays at 2:30 to 3:30 from March 7th to May 9th. Dues are $20 to cover the cost of the t-shirt, plants, materials and speakers. To be fair and to give more students the opportunity to join Garden Club, students who were enrolled in the Fall are not eligible to apply unless they are children of a full time volunteer. Class size will be limited to 30 students with 5 students in each grade from kindergarten to fifth grade. Look for the sign up at next week’s Bulletin.

Montgomery will be hosting the First Annual Mustang Talent Showcase on Thursday, March 23rd at 6:30 p.m. in the MES cafeteria. Performer auditions will be judged by a staff panel and held from 7:00 to 7:30 during the weeks of February 13-24 and an official line-up will be finalized by the second week of March. Depending on the volume of applicants, students may be asked to combine acts so that all who would like to perform can participate.
