Congratulations Ms. Beyah!

The PTA would like to recognize one teacher/staff member per month who goes out of his or her way to help make our school so great! Please take a minute next time you are in the building to check out the appreciation sign on your right when you enter the main entrance.

The PTA Exec. Board has chosen Ms. Beyah to be the PTA Teacher/Staff Member of the Month for February. Ms. Beyah does an outstanding job greeting everyone each morning with a smile on her face. She helps the students start their day off right with her continuous positive attitude and warm demeanor.

Help the Mustang Fund reach its goal!

The focus of our fundraising effort this school year is to fund significant curriculum enhancements for our children. We will invest in a reading curriculum – Orton-Gillingham.

The Orton-Gillingham approach is an intensive, sequential phonics-based system that teaches the basics of word formation before whole meanings. The method accommodates and utilizes the three learning modalities, or pathways, through which people learn—visual, auditory and kinesthetic. Unlike some scripted and rigid reading programs, the Orton-Gillingham Approach is a system that allows for flexibility based on the individual learning capability of each student.
In addition, the Mustang Fund will continue to provide support for the STEM initiative (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) at Montgomery. We will also continue to support our faculty and staff with professional learning opportunities and updated technology. By investing in our school’s biggest asset, our teachers, we are directly enhancing the education of our children.
In order to fund the curriculum enhancements including training for our faculty and new technology, we have set a fundraising goal of $50,000.
You may give online at www.mustangfundinc.com.
All donations are fully tax deductible! Thank you for your support.
